Tanner's Cake Smash - Children

My second son, Tanner is going to be one on January 2nd. Mind = Blown. How in the world has it already been a YEAR since I've had this child!?!? It's been a very busy one, that's for sure, but he and Carter continue to amaze me - and drive me crazy every single day! I was super excited to do a cake smash session with Tanner for his 1st birthday, I wanted to do one with Carter, and never got around to being able to, and I hope that this maybe helps draw in some others who are interested in doing it for their children's birthday's too! It's messy - but sooo much fun!

The Haley's - Couples

Alison contacted me about getting portraits taken of her and her husband because after 10 years of being together, they never had any done! It was such an honor that they chose me to take their first family photos and even more of an honor when I found out that her husband was a service member in the Air Force! I hold a special place in my heart for people in the Air Force because not only was my daddy in the Air Force, but my husband just recently joined the Air National Guard and had been active duty most of this past year. I almost missed this shoot because it was scheduled after the day a very dear family member passed away and we were all over at Anthony's mom's house supporting one another when I got a call from Alison, "Are we still going to do our shoot today??" OMG!!! This was the first time EVER that I forgot about a photoshoot!!! I dropped everything, told Anthony that I had to go and ran out to the base as fast as I could. I was only about 30 minutes late but I felt horrible about it! I guess grief does crazy things to you! I'm glad that I made it out because I got to play with their adorable little puppies and forgot about all things sad with this cute couple!

Fichtners - Families

I have been doing the Fichtner family photos since I first started taking pictures! Seriously, this family could possibly be one of my first family shoots EVER! lol - I always enjoy coming back year after year and watching these boys grow up. I remember when Chase was basically a toddler and we were having to chase him around the La Purisima Mission, and now, the boys are like - TEENAGERS! eek. I had a lot of fun and they really are such a beautiful family! Oh, joining them are the paternal extended family - it was a pleasure meeting them and being silly with everyone!
